SRF commissions new BOPET plant in Hungary

The project has been capitalised and commissioned on 3rd August, 2020 at an approximate cost of Euro 80 million.

SRF Europe Kft, a wholly owned subsidiary of SRF Limited has announced the successful commissioning of its new Bi-axially Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate (BOPET) film manufacturing plant in Jaszfenyszaru, Hungary.
 
The project has been capitalised and commissioned on 3rd August, 2020 at an approximate cost of Euro 80 million.
 
The new plant will help in creating local jobs and playing an active role in the development of the local community in Hungary, said Kartik Bharat Ram, Deputy MD, SRF Limited.
 
The company recently also announced setting up of a new chloromethane facility to produce 1,00,000 tonnes per annum at Dahej, Gujarat at a projected cost of Rs 315 crore.
