Gujarat Alkalies Chemicals Limited has started temporary operation of its Stable Bleaching Powder (SBP) Plant at Dahej from 30th March 2020. 

 

In COVID-19 times, Stable Bleaching Powder is required by municipal corporations for disinfectant purposes whereas operation of other plants are still under shut-down conditions. Based on the requirement, the company may start operation of other plants. 

 

The company had informed about the complete safe shut-down of all its plants at Baroda and Dahej Complexes from 24th March 2020 till 31st March 2020. In line with the government of India’s announcement on 24th March 2020 to observe nation-wide lockdown for 21 days with effect from 25th March 2020 upto 14th April 2020, the company has also decided to continue the shut-down of its plants at Baroda and Dahej Complexes until further orders from the government.
