Rashtriya Chemicals quarterly revenue grows by 15%

Total income for the quarter stood at Rs.2661 crore in comparison to the corresponding quarter last year of Rs.2297 crore.

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd has reported its financial results for the quarter ended 31 March 2020 wherein the company's total income increased by 15% during the quarter ended 31 March 2020. Total income for the quarter stood at Rs.2661 crore in comparison to the corresponding quarter last year of Rs.2297 crore. Consolidated net profit touched Rs.142 crore as against Rs.47 crore for the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 201%.

For the year ended 31 March 2020, the company's consolidated total income is Rs.9826 crore as against Rs.8967 crore in FY19, a growth of 9%. The company reported net profit of Rs.207 crore as against Rs.132 crore in 2019, a growth of 55%.

The Board of Directors of Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd at its meeting held on May 29, 2020, have recommended a dividend of Rs. 2.84 per equity share of Rs. 10/- each (i.e. 28.40%) for the financial year ended March 31, 2020, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting.

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited (RCF) is a leading fertilizers and chemicals manufacturing company with about 75% of its equity held by the Government of India. It has two operating units, one at Trombay in Mumbai and the other at Thal, Raigad district, about 100 KM from Mumbai.

RCF manufactures Urea, Complex Fertilizers, Bio-fertilizers, Micro-nutrients, 100 per cent water soluble fertilizers, soil conditioners and a wide range of Industrial Chemicals. It produces around 25.00 Lakh MT Urea, 4.75 Lakh MT Complex fertilizers and 4.5 Lakh MT of industrial chemicals every year. Besides fertilizer products, RCF also produces a large number of industrial chemicals that are important for the manufacture of dyes, solvents, leather, pharmaceuticals and a host of other industrial products.
