The move underscores NH3’s drive to position WAH2 at the forefront of the global ammonia fuel market

NH3 Clean Energy has taken a major step forward in its clean energy ambitions, appointing Linde Engineering, a global industrial gases and engineering powerhouse, to deliver Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) for its WAH2 clean ammonia project.

The partnership will also explore potential future execution models for the project, including EPC, Build-Own-Operate (BOO), and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) options, helping NH3 refine its strategy beyond FEED.

NH3 Chairman Charles Whitfield said: “The appointment of Linde to deliver FEED is a landmark milestone for the WAH2 project and demonstrates the prominent position of the project in the ammonia fuel industry. Linde has vast experience in the construction, commissioning and operation of hydrogen and ammonia plants around the world.

"In parallel with the FEED, we will be evaluating potential Build Own Operate and Operations and Maintenance models as part of selecting the future execution pathway."

"Aside from selecting a FEED engineering partner NH3 has demonstrated a high degree of confidence in customer demand (MOL and ITOCHU), its approvals pathway (facilitated under the Lead Agency Framework), and now financing and execution options," he added.

The move underscores NH3’s drive to position WAH2 at the forefront of the global ammonia fuel market, while leveraging world-class expertise to accelerate delivery and de-risk construction.
