Mitsubishi Chemical signs patent licensing agreement with CATL

MUIS has successfully developed difluorophosphate-based cathode interfacial control technology

MU Ionic Solutions Corporation, a subsidiary of the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, has entered into a patent license agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), a global leader of new energy innovative technologies, providing access to MUIS’s lithium-ion batteries (LIB)-related patents.

As a result of relentless dedication, MUIS has successfully developed difluorophosphate-based cathode interfacial control technology (MP1 Technology), resulting in the accumulation of numerous patents in this domain. MUIS and CATL signed the patent licensing agreement covering the MP1 Technology, pledging to advance its adoption and fuel the expansion of electronic and electric vehicle (xEV) markets together.
