Pace Digitek is expanding its existing 2.5 GWh BESS manufacturing capacity by an additional 2.5 GWh
Pace Digitek has crossed a major milestone in India’s growing battery energy storage sector, with its subsidiary Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL) manufacturing 300 utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) containers, representing approximately 1.5 GWh of energy storage capacity.
The achievement underscores Pace Digitek’s expanding role in the BESS ecosystem as demand for large-scale storage solutions accelerates across utilities, renewable energy projects and commercial & industrial applications.
Building on this momentum, the company is significantly scaling up its manufacturing capabilities. Pace Digitek is expanding its existing 2.5 GWh BESS manufacturing capacity by an additional 2.5 GWh, while also developing a new 5 GWh BESS manufacturing facility and an in-house container fabrication unit.
The expansion is aimed at increasing production scale, strengthening backward integration, improving cost efficiencies and enhancing execution capabilities across the battery storage value chain.
The company has established an integrated BESS platform covering manufacturing, engineering, system integration, EPC services and long-term Operations & Maintenance (O&M). This end-to-end capability enables Pace Digitek to deliver complete battery energy storage solutions — from manufacturing and integration to project deployment and lifecycle support.
With renewable energy integration and grid stability becoming increasingly critical, battery energy storage is emerging as a key enabler of the clean energy transition. Through continued investments in manufacturing capacity and technology capabilities, Pace Digitek is positioning itself to support the evolving needs of energy providers, renewable developers and industrial customers.
Commenting on the milestone, Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, Chairman & Managing Director, Pace Digitek Limited, said: "Crossing the milestone of 300 utility-scale BESS containers is an important achievement in our journey of building an integrated battery energy storage business. It reflects the capabilities we have built across manufacturing, engineering and project execution, enabling us to deliver end-to-end BESS solutions at scale.
"As demand for battery energy storage continues to grow, we remain focused on expanding our manufacturing capabilities, strengthening technology and enhancing execution to support our customers across utility-scale and commercial applications.”
