QuantumScape and Corning are collaborating to develop and manufacture ceramic separators for QuantumScape's solid-state batteries. An agreement to jointly work toward high-volume production for commercial use was announced on September 30, 2025.

This partnership is a significant step toward industrializing next-generation solid-state battery technology. The collaboration combines each company's specific expertise to help accelerate the path to market.

Combining QS and Corning’s strengths in materials science and manufacturing, this agreement marks an important step in building an ecosystem of partners to rapidly industrialize QS’s next-generation battery technology.
