Advanta bioKEMIX, the Indian arm of the global bioKEMIX network, has entered into a strategic joint venture with Goa-based high-purity solvent manufacturer Resolkem, in a major step in its ambition to strengthen India's specialty chemicals manufacturing ecosystem.

 

The partnership brings together Advanta bioKEMIX's global market reach, distribution capabilities, and supply chain expertise with Resolkem's established manufacturing strengths and technical know-how. Resolkem was founded by industry veteran Anand Malage, formerly associated with Cipla.

 

As part of the agreement, the partners have incorporated Resolkem Private Limited, a new joint venture company that will acquire and operate Resolkem's existing business and manufacturing assets, previously run as a sole proprietorship.

 

The venture is expected to create a significant new platform for the production of high-purity solvents used across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, specialty chemicals, and advanced materials sectors.

Resolkem Private Limited enters the market with a distinctive position as India's only manufacturer of high-quality GCHS-grade solvents. 

 

Its current product portfolio includes Dimethyl Formamide (DMF), Dimethyl Acetamide (DMA), N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), and Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) — critical solvents used in pharmaceutical, food, environmental, and chemical testing applications where purity and compliance standards are paramount.

 

The company said domestic production of these specialty solvents will support India's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative by reducing reliance on imports, strengthening supply chain resilience, and ensuring reliable access to globally compliant products for key industrial sectors.

 

The joint venture has also unveiled an aggressive growth strategy. Resolkem Private Limited plans to establish a significantly larger manufacturing facility by the fourth quarter of 2026, enabling a major increase in production capacity and expansion into additional high-purity specialty solvents and chemicals. 

 

The new facility is expected to serve rising demand from both domestic and international markets.

 

The move comes amid growing demand across the global chemical industry for resilient, high-quality, and geographically diversified supply chains. By combining advanced manufacturing capabilities with international market access through the bioKEMIX network, Resolkem Private Limited aims to position itself as a trusted global supplier of critical high-purity solvents.
