The Dubai site will serve as a regional hub, enabling faster access to locally blended and stocked aerospace coatings tailored to individual customer requirements
AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings is set to expand its Middle East footprint with a new color blending and distribution facility in Dubai, strengthening regional support for airlines, MROs, OEMs and aviation partners.
Scheduled to open in Q2 2026, the Dubai site will serve as a regional hub, enabling faster access to locally blended and stocked aerospace coatings tailored to individual customer requirements. From the new facility, AkzoNobel will provide local blending of Aerobase, Aerodur 3001 and Eclipse colors, alongside ready availability of primers, topcoats and thinners.
The company says the strategic location will help reduce lead times and improve supply chain efficiency across the Middle East, supporting growing demand in commercial aviation. Automated, precision-controlled color blending processes will be used to ensure consistent, repeatable color accuracy aligned with AkzoNobel’s global standards.
Xavier Rijmenans, EMEA Sales Director, AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings, said the investment reinforces the company’s long-term regional commitment: “We work closely with established partners in the Middle East who rely on our trusted solutions. By expanding our color blending and distribution capabilities, we are not only reducing lead times but also strengthening regional support - helping customers to scale their operations and respond to increasing demand in the region.
“With a model already proven across Asia, Europe and North America, customers across the region will benefit from enhanced access to locally blended, high-quality coatings.”
AkzoNobel will showcase details of the new Dubai aerospace facility at MRO Middle East 2026. Visitors can meet the team at Booth 1620 to learn how local color blending and stock availability can improve efficiency, cut turnaround times and enhance operational planning for airlines and MROs across the region.
