METICHEM will continue operating as a standalone business within Aquatech’s global services division

Aquatech has agreed to acquire Metito Chemical Solutions, a UAE-based leader in advanced water-treatment chemicals and operations & maintenance (O&M) services, in a move set to strengthen its position as a global provider of industrial water solutions.

The acquisition will combine Aquatech’s technology leadership and digital water platforms with METICHEM’s deep regional expertise, expanding the companies’ ability to deliver end-to-end water lifecycle solutions for industrial, municipal, and commercial customers.

METICHEM will continue operating as a standalone business within Aquatech’s global services division.

Built on seven decades of operational experience from Metito’s O&M business, METICHEM has rapidly grown into a regional force in water services. The company employs approximately 700 people, operates service contracts across 46 countries, and provides specialty chemicals, engineered systems, and performance optimization solutions across critical industries.

Its customers span sectors including power generation, district cooling, primary metals, fertilizers, food processing, oil & gas, and municipal water services.

The acquisition will enhance Aquatech’s ability to deliver integrated solutions covering water treatment chemicals, digital optimization, plant performance management, and long-term operational support — helping customers improve reliability, reduce costs, and advance sustainability targets.

"This acquisition unites two companies that share the same vision: to optimize water systems through innovation, safety, and performance excellence," said Devesh Sharma, CEO at Aquatech.

"Their strong presence across the Middle East and Asia, combined with our global water technology and digital platforms, will enable our industrial water customers to maximize efficiency, reliability, and sustainability at any site, no matter how big or small."

"This acquisition represents a major step in Aquatech’s strategy to expand its global services capabilities and deliver greater value to customers through a combination of regional expertise and worldwide execution," said Andrew Parke, Executive Vice President for Services at Aquatech.

"This integration reflects a deliberate strategy to enhance how we support customers by bringing together deep regional expertise and global delivery to drive performance, reliability, and long-term value."

"We are thrilled to be part of Aquatech. This merger further expands our technical offering and accelerates our mission to deliver smarter, safer, and more sustainable water solutions," said Mike Abla, Managing Director at METICHEM.

"Together, we combine advanced water treatment technologies and operational excellence to help our clients operate with confidence and achieve their environmental and operational goals."

The deal builds on Aquatech’s growing presence in Asia and the Middle East, including decades of operations in India and its recent acquisition of Singapore-based Century Water.

The combined platform positions Aquatech and METICHEM as a leading water-services partner for industrial customers seeking reliable, efficient, and sustainable water management solutions.
