Balaji Amines starts FY27 on a strong note as Q1 revenue touches Rs. 461 crore

Balaji Speciality Chemicals Limited continues to execute its Rs. 750 crore phased expansion programme


Balaji Amines Limited (BAL), one of India’s leading manufacturers of Aliphatic Amines and Specialty Chemicals, has reported a strong start to FY27, with consolidated revenue from operations reaching Rs. 461 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2026.
 
The company’s consolidated EBITDA stood at Rs. 121 crore during Q1FY27, while net profit rose to Rs. 78 crore, reflecting resilient operational performance amid changing market conditions.
 
Compared with Q4FY26, consolidated revenue increased from Rs. 403 crore to Rs. 461 crore, while EBITDA improved from Rs. 102 crore to Rs. 121 crore. EBITDA margin remained robust at 26%, compared with 25% in the previous quarter and 17% in Q1FY26.
 
The company maintained stable operations during the quarter, supported by steady demand across key segments and stable commodity prices. Total sales volume for Q1FY27 stood at 21,587 MT.
 
Segment-wise, Amines volumes stood at 6,248.57 MT, Amines Derivatives volumes at 8,205.11 MT, and Specialty Chemicals volumes at 7,132.92 MT.
 
On a standalone basis, Balaji Amines continued to maintain a zero-debt position. Standalone revenue for Q1FY27 stood at Rs. 429 crore, while EBITDA was Rs. 110 crore and net profit was Rs. 72 crore.
 
Balaji Amines has successfully commissioned India’s first commercial-scale 100,000 TPA Dimethyl Ether (DME) manufacturing facility, marking a strategic step into alternate fuel applications, including LPG blending and aerosol propellant markets.
 
The company is also progressing with its next phase of expansion, including the commissioning of N-Methyl Morpholine (NMM) and Acetonitrile (ACN) capacity expansion during FY27, further strengthening its specialty chemicals portfolio.
 
Balaji Speciality Chemicals Limited continues to execute its Rs. 750 crore phased expansion programme, which has received Mega Project Status from the Government of Maharashtra under the Package Scheme of Incentives (PSI), 2019.
 
The expansion will establish an integrated specialty chemicals platform with products including Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN), Sodium Cyanide (NaCN), EDTA, EDTA-2Na and downstream EDA derivatives such as DETA, TETA, Piperazine (PIP), AEEA and AEP.
 
The brownfield Unit-I expansion for EDA-based downstream products is expected to be commissioned during FY27, while the greenfield Unit-II facility at MIDC Chincholi is progressing with HCN, NaCN, EDTA and EDTA-2Na plants targeted for commissioning during FY27.
