Best Value Chem has proposed to increase the capacity of some of its perfumery products and also discontinue some of the chemicals manufactured at its Karakhadi unit in Gujarat's Vadodara district.
Best Value Chem has proposed to increase the
capacity of some of its perfumery products and also discontinue some of the
chemicals manufactured at its Karakhadi unit in Gujarat?s Vadodara district.
The company has approached the Ministry of Environment and Forests in this
regard for environmental clearance.
The existing products whose production capacity the company wants to increase
are: Amyl Salicylate, Benzyl Acetone, Benzyl Salicylate, Citra Ether,
Citronellyl Acetate, Hycol, Iso Amyl Salicylate, Terpinyl Acetate, Undecavertol,
Verdyl Acetate and Verdyl Propionate.
The products that Best Value wants to discontinue are: Alpha Ionone, Beta De
Hydro Cyclo Central, C-11 Aldehyde, Eugenol, Fold Oil, Geranyl Acetate, Geranyl
Nitrile, Iso Eugenol, Rectified Clove Leave Oil, Rhodinol Ex Geranium and Methyl
Ionone.
The company also wants to introduce Melonal, Caryophyllene Acetate, Dimettol,
Hexyl Salicylate and Verdyl Isobutyrate.
The total proposed quantity of products will be 1816 MTPM.
The total land area is 32,020 sq m, of which 11,527 sq m is for greenbelt
development. The company said it has earmarked Rs 15 lakh as cost of
environmental protection measures.
