Black Rose posts 48% revenue surge as profit jumps 148% in Q1 FY27

Black Rose Industries Limited delivered a strong start to the financial year 2026-27, reporting a sharp rise in revenue and profitability for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. 
 
Black Rose Industries reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs.8,908.07 lakh for Q1 FY27, registering a year-on-year growth of 48.84% compared with Rs.5,984.95 lakh in Q1 FY26. On a sequential basis, revenue was lower than Rs.10,404.15 lakh reported in Q4 FY26.
 
Including other income of Rs.105.59 lakh, total consolidated revenue for the quarter stood at Rs.9,013.66 lakh, marking a 48.03% increase from Rs.6,088.95 lakh recorded in the corresponding quarter last year.
 
Total consolidated expenses during the quarter stood at Rs.7,599.71 lakh, compared with Rs.5,509.62 lakh in Q1 FY26 and Rs.9,249.20 lakh in Q4 FY26.
 
Key expense components included: Purchase of Stock-in-Trade increased to Rs.3,744.08 lakh from Rs.2,793.83 lakh in Q1 FY26. Cost of Materials Consumed rose to Rs.2,033.96 lakh from Rs.1,702.95 lakh. Other Expenses climbed to Rs.1,292.71 lakh from Rs.667.04 lakh.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) surged 144.07% year-on-year to Rs.1,413.95 lakh, compared with Rs.579.33 lakh in Q1 FY26 and Rs.1,228.69 lakh in Q4 FY26.
 
Tax expenses for continuing operations stood at Rs.373.30 lakh, including income tax expense of Rs.455.03 lakh, partially offset by a deferred tax credit of Rs.81.73 lakh.
 
Profit from continuing operations jumped 145.34% year-on-year to Rs.1,040.65 lakh, compared with Rs.424.17 lakh in Q1 FY26 and Rs.941.59 lakh in Q4 FY26.
 
Loss from discontinued operations was limited to Rs.(1.72) lakh during the quarter, compared with Rs.(5.27) lakh in the same period last year.
 
Total net profit for the quarter reached Rs.1,038.93 lakh, marking a 147.99% year-on-year increase from Rs.418.90 lakh in Q1 FY26 and a sequential rise from Rs.940.99 lakh in Q4 FY26.
 
Total comprehensive income stood at Rs.1,042.50 lakh, compared with Rs.415.11 lakh in Q1 FY26.
