Chemical companies have shut manufacturing operations at multiple locations to minimise the risk of COVID-19 and also implemented work from home for office employees


Chemical companies have shut manufacturing operations at multiple locations to minimise the risk of COVID-19 and also implemented work from home for office employees.  
 
Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals shall remain closed from April 1, 2020 and will continue to remain closed until 48 hours after the declaration of the financial results for the quarter ending March 31, 2020.
 
Sumitomo Chemical India has stopped manufacturing operations of Gajod unit in Kutch. Resumption of activities of this unit will depend upon further orders from government authorities. The manufacturing units at other locations are currently operating without material impact. Due to restrictions imposed on movement of people and activities, the operations of our offices and C&F Agencies are also impacted. The company has already implemented work from home for office employees to minimise the risk of Covid-19.
 
Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers & Chemicals Limited has informed about temporary TDI production suspension and advancement of shutdown of TDI-II Plant at Dahej. The TDI-II Plant has now resumed its normal production after completion of scheduled maintenance.
 
Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals has decided to reduce the size of its manufacturing operations. On an average, there is a reduction in plant loads by 30% at Baroda and Dahej Complexes. The company has also implemented Work From Home policy for its employees. These measures have been taken in line with government's directions and considering the health and safety of our employees and public in general. 
 
Himadri Speciality Chemical has decided to temporarily close its manufacturing operations and offices in India with effect from 23 March 2020 till 31 March 2020. As a responsible corporate entity, the company believes that safety, health and well-being of all our employees remains our top priority. We are hopeful and confident that the measures taken by the government will help to contain the spread of COVID-19.
 
Oriental Carbon & Chemicals has decided to temporarily suspend its production activities and operations located at all the plants. This shutdown is currently till 25th March, 2020 for Mundra Plant at Gujarat and till 31st March, 2020 for Dharuhera Plant at Haryana. The company has been taking necessary precautionary measures at all its offices and plants against the spread of Novel Coronávirus (COVID -19) as advised by the Government from time to time. The company has also followed Work from Home policy for its employees.
 
GOCL Corporation Limited office will remain closed with effect from 23rd March 2020 till further notice.
