China imposes anti-dumping charges on n-propanol from US

Starting July 18, the tariff rate of anti-dumping duties levied on some U.S. companies will be between 254.4 percent and 267.4 percent, according to the statement.


China will impose anti-dumping duties on U.S.-made n-Propanol (NPA), a printing ink solvent used in food packaging and to make antibiotics, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on Friday.
 
Dumping exists in imported NPA originating in the United States, and the domestic NPA industry has suffered substantial damage, said the commerce ministry based on an anti-dumping investigation that started last July.
 
Starting July 18, the tariff rate of anti-dumping duties levied on some U.S. companies will be between 254.4 percent and 267.4 percent, according to the statement.
 
The move will affect Dow Chemical Company and OXEA Corporation among other US firms.
