Dhanuka Agritech Q2 sales rises; plans new R&D centre in Haryana

Dhanuka Agritech, one of India's leading agrochemical company is planning a R&D Centre at Palwal in Haryana. 
 

The company already has an existing R&D center in Gurgaon for generation of scientific data and evaluation of new molecules. 

 

Further the company's revenues from operations stood at Rs. 442.39 crore in Q2 FY2021 versus Rs. 402.03 crore in Q2 FY2020, representing an increase of 10%. EBITDA stood at Rs. 88.98 crore in Q2 FY2021 versus Rs. 73.38 crore in Q2 FY2020, up 21.26%. EBITDA margins improved from 18.25% in Q2 FY2020 to 20.11% in Q2 FY2021 led by strong operating leverage. 
 
 
Profit after tax was at Rs. 70 crore in Q2 FY2021 versus Rs. 60 crore in Q2 FY2020, up 16.81%. PAT margins improved from 14.75% in Q2 FY2020 to 15.55% in Q2 FY2021. 
 
Mahendra K Dhanuka Managing Director, Dhanuka Agritech said, "Dhanuka Agritech has reported unprecedented Financial Results with a growth of 70% in topline in the first quarter of FY2021 ended on June 30, 2020 however in the 2nd Quarter, the company has performed moderately because of deficit rainfall in the month of July and excessive and continuous rainfall in the month of August and September. Lot of crops have been damaged in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka."
 
"During the quarter our Udhampur Unit has received NABL Accreditation which is valid till 29th November, 2022. Further, the company has decided to make a R&D Centre at Palwal, Haryana. Further, during the last quarter we have launched two new products by the name of Kirari and Nissodium which are both fungicides," added Dhanuka.
