Grasim Industries commences commercial production of Resin manufacturing block at Mahad

The commercial production of Resin manufacturing block with an installed capacity of 22 million litres per annum has now started

Aditya Birla Group flagship Grasim Industries started commercial production of a resin manufacturing block at its Birla Opus Paints plant in Mahad, Maharashtra on 24 June, 2025. The new block adds an installed capacity of 22 million litres per annum (MLPA) of resin, crucial for in-house paint manufacturing as binders that ensure adhesion, durability, and film formation.

This expansion follows March 2025 commissioning of the Mahad facility’s paint lines — 180 MLPA for water-based paint, 20 MLPA for distemper, and 30 MLPA for solvent-based paint—bringing versatility to Grasim’s coatings portfolio. the company’s growth trajectory, and in Q4/FY25, Grasim reported revenue of Rs 8,926 crore, driven by robust demand across core and new businesses.
