The initiative is expected to boost domestic manufacturing, expand value addition and create fresh investment and employment opportunities in Rajasthan

Hindustan Zinc Limited has stepped up its ambitious plan to build a downstream zinc manufacturing hub in Rajasthan, signing 11 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with industry partners for its proposed Zinc Industrial Park at Khankhala in Bhilwara district.

The agreements, signed at the ZnAL Confluence 2026 in Jaipur, signal growing industry interest in the proposed industrial hub, which aims to bring manufacturers, engineering companies, technology providers and allied businesses under one integrated ecosystem.

The initiative is expected to boost domestic manufacturing, expand value addition and create fresh investment and employment opportunities in Rajasthan.

The 11 MoUs were signed with Gainwell Commosales Private Limited, Epiroc Mining India Private Limited, Sai Deepa Rock Drills Pvt Ltd, Shree Nakoda Infrasteel Pvt Ltd, Suryakiran Earthmovers Pvt. Ltd, J.G. Chemicals Limited, EPCM Service & Supply Pvt Ltd, Jasta Alloys Private Limited, Jammu Pigments and Ampex Energies Pvt Ltd.

Under the proposed partnerships, the companies have expressed interest in setting up manufacturing, engineering and service operations at the Park, with Hindustan Zinc extending ecosystem support to facilitate their proposed ventures.

The latest signings build on earlier agreements with Tripura Group, CMR Green Technologies Ltd., Group Nirmal and Sulfozyme Agro India Pvt. Ltd., further widening the pool of prospective investors and strengthening the Park's downstream industrial proposition.

Speaking on the development, Amarendu Prakash, CEO and Whole-time Director, Hindustan Zinc, said, "Zinc Park is a strategic initiative that reflects our long-term vision of building a globally competitive downstream ecosystem for zinc-based industries in India.

"The growing confidence of industry partners, across manufacturing, engineering and services, shows the strength of the proposition. Through assured ecosystem support, renewable energy integration and strong collaborations, we aim to enable MSME growth, create local employment and strengthen domestic manufacturing."

First announced at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit in December 2024 by Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma and Vedanta Group Chairman Shri Anil Agarwal, the Zinc Park is being developed in collaboration with the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO).

The project is envisioned as a dedicated downstream manufacturing hub that will connect raw material availability with value-added zinc production, positioning Rajasthan as a major destination for zinc-based industries.

The proposed Park will offer developed industrial land supported by RIICO, access to an earmarked share of Hindustan Zinc's metal output, and access to the company's Centre of Excellence and research and development capabilities. These facilities are expected to support product development, technological advancement and innovation in zinc alloys.

With initial investment opportunities starting from Rs 5 crore, the Park is also targeting MSMEs and entrepreneurs, opening the door for smaller businesses to participate in a larger industrial value chain.

Strategically located near Hindustan Zinc's Chanderiya, Dariba and Debari operations, the Park is expected to attract investments across galvanising, die-casting, zinc alloys, zinc oxide, wire manufacturing and advanced zinc applications.

By bringing these industries closer to its existing production facilities, Hindustan Zinc aims to create an integrated industrial ecosystem that can strengthen supply chains, encourage local manufacturing, generate employment and accelerate regional economic development.

The growing interest from industry partners reinforces the potential of the project as a catalyst for Rajasthan's industrial transformation. Hindustan Zinc is continuing discussions with prospective investors and stakeholders to attract further participation and develop the Park in a phased manner.
