hubergroup Print Solutions is rolling out a major upgrade to its conventional offset ink portfolio, introducing a next-generation formulation built on a completely new resin technology.
The international printing ink specialist says the innovation delivers measurable gains in print performance while preserving consistently high output quality.
The updated inks are designed to reduce make-ready waste, improve colour stability, and significantly cut misting even on high-speed presses. The relaunch spans key commercial and packaging ranges, including RESISTA, RAPIDA ECO, ECO-PERFECT-DRY, PACKAGING PLUS, MGA NATURA, and MGA CORONA.
At the core of the development is a reworked resin system—long recognised as the foundation of offset ink performance. Resins influence everything from viscosity and tack to setting speed, adhesion, and resistance to misting. hubergroup says its in-house resin production was key to engineering a more tightly controlled, performance-driven formulation.
"An improved resin means an improved ink,” explains Richard Gill of the company. “As we at hubergroup manufacture our own resins, we can tailor the formulation to precisely meet the performance characteristics we want. This capability enabled us to develop a perfectly aligned resin technology for our conventional offset inks.”
Long-term production testing points to clear operational advantages: reduced misting, a wider water window for more stable runs, lower dampening requirements, fewer sheets needed for press adjustment, and consistently stable print density and colour reproduction—while post-print performance remains unchanged.
The rollout will extend across hubergroup Print Solutions’ entire conventional offset portfolio in the first half of 2026. Product names and sales codes will stay the same to ensure a seamless transition for printers.
“With this new technology, we are one step ahead of the market and fully aligned with current and future needs of print and packaging companies,” summarises Richard Gill. “We invite customers to reach out to us at any time to learn more about the advantages of this innovation.”
