The initiative is expected to increase the share of renewable inputs in production and help reduce the carbon footprint of certain products by up to 15%
Indovinya, the specialty chemicals and surfactants division of Indorama Ventures, has signed an agreement with Air Liquide for the supply of renewable oxygen, marking a major step in its drive to reduce emissions and expand lower-carbon chemical solutions.
The renewable oxygen will be used in the production of ethylene oxide, one of Indovinya’s key raw materials. The initiative is expected to increase the share of renewable inputs in production and help reduce the carbon footprint of certain products by up to 15%.
The partnership with Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare, supports Indovinya’s broader sustainability strategy aimed at lowering emissions across its value chain while helping customers meet their own environmental targets.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Indovinya as we continue to embed sustainability into our value chain. The use of renewable oxygen in production allows us to meaningfully lower emissions from essential raw materials and supports our broader strategy to offer lower carbon solutions to our customers.” - John Smith, Chief Delivery Officer (CDO) at Indovinya.
The agreement comes as Indovinya advances toward its long-term sustainability goals. In 2025, the company exceeded its sustainable products target, with sustainable solutions accounting for 20.5% of total revenue, surpassing its original 15% goal.
Indovinya expects the renewable oxygen initiative to support future sustainability milestones, including its target of having 50% of new products assessed as sustainable in the coming years.
