Scheduled to be held at Taj Resort and Convention Centre, Goa, the Conference focuses on different aspects which will make the paint industry future bright
Goa will host 30th and 31st Indian Paint Association (IPA) Conference on 20-22 January, 2023 at the fabulous new Taj Resort and Convention Centre.
The IPA conference is held once every two years. The 30th edition of the conference could not be held due to COVID-19 and so for the first time IPA is clubbing both the 30th and 31st IPA Conference in a consolidated edition and doing a mega event for the paint industry which will see participation of around 650 delegates.
The conference will be hosted at the new Taj Resort and Convention Centre which offers magnificent views of the vast expanse of the Arabian Sea whilst providing generous luxurious spaces for the conference sessions, meetings, stay, and dining.
Talking about the Indian Paint Association Conference 2023, Priyamvada Bhumkar, Convenor, Indian Paint Association Conference said, "We are witnessing and experiencing dramatic changes across the world today due to the impact of technology, connectedness, climate change, socio-political-economic shifts, and others. These changes are leading us to live and exist in an altered space. As convenors of the conference, we felt we must use the conference to look at and deliberate on these changes in order to evolve and adapt to them as an industry and as people."
"The chosen theme for the conference ‘Nutation – Reimagining the Paint Business’ represents this thought. The word Nutation means to shift axis and we hope to make the conference a focal point for addressing the theme of change," commented Bhumkar.
"With a focused theme like ‘Nutation’ driving the conference, we plan to put together a stimulating and thought provoking business programme over the three days. We have reached out to global thinkers and speakers of excellence in their fields, invited them to lend their valued thoughts on ‘Reimagining the Paint Business’. For the first time for an IPA conference, we also plan to wrap up the event in grand style with a fireside chat with an iconic leader and follow it by a champagne brunch," said Bhumkar.
The Conference starts with Keynote Speech by Kargil war hero Lt. Gen. Mohinder Puri, former Deputy Chief of Army Staff and also author of Kargil: Turning the Tide, who commanded 8 Mountain Division and was tasked to evict the enemy from the Drass-Mushkoh Sector during Operation Vijay. He will talk about the Kargil War and its learnings where hand to hand battles were fought in an extremely challenging and hostile environment of rugged high altitude terrain, and inclement weather and achieved success.
There is also a Special Plenary Session with Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Fireside Chat with Padam Shri Anil Kumble, former Indian Cricket Captain, Coach, and Commentator who is the fourth highest wicket taker in the world.
The three day Paint Conference will witness Technical Paper Awards and Lifetime Achievement Awards. The two day cultural programme in IPA Conference starts with Bharatanatyam performance by Vaibhav Arekar and Sakhya team, followed by Music by DJ Sandy, and Bollywood Bling by Shaan.
In the Business Session there are two panel discussions - Reimagining the Paint Business - Industry 2050 and Reimagining the Paint Business - Indian Paint Industry in the Global Landscape where stalwarts of Paint Industry will participate. The Business Session focuses on topics like - Brands, Design, Talent, Chemicals, Mobility, Collaboration, Governance, Sustainability, Manufacturing, and Coatings. There are also multiple Technical Sessions on various topics to give a complete 360 degree view to all stakeholders of the paint industry.
Talking about the future of the paint industry, Priyamvada Bhumkar said, "We hope that the conference will prove to be the point of Nutation for our industry and help us Reimagine the Paint Business for an exhilarating journey into the future.
