Kamdhenu Paints has expanded its footprint in the premium paints and finishes market by commencing indigenous manufacturing of its wood coating range, marking a strategic diversification of its product portfolio.

The company has invested approximately Rs. 20 crore to establish a dedicated wood coatings production line at its manufacturing facility in the RIICO Industrial Area, Chopanki (Bhiwadi), Rajasthan.

The move positions Kamdhenu Paints to tap into India's rapidly growing wood coatings market while strengthening its presence in the premium interiors and furniture segment.

The new facility is expected to improve product availability, optimise costs and enable faster service delivery for interior designers, architects and furniture professionals across the country.

Industry estimates indicate that India's wood coatings market, valued at nearly Rs. 700 million in 2024, is projected to grow to Rs. 1.29 billion by 2030, registering a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.70 per cent.

The growth is being driven by accelerating urbanisation, rising consumer demand for premium furniture and evolving preferences for high-quality interior solutions.

Under its dedicated Wood Coating Division, Kamdhenu has launched a portfolio of wood finishing solutions, including PU wood finishes, high-gloss coatings and related products designed to enhance the aesthetics, durability and protection of wooden surfaces. The range has been developed specifically for Indian application conditions while meeting global performance standards.

“The addition of a new production line for wood coatings is a part of our push to offer premium products at an affordable price range to meet the fast-growing demand for modern interiors and furniture applications segment. An outlay of 20 crore has been earmarked as we focus on making advanced finishes more affordable for the interiors and furniture ecosystem.
