Nippon Paint India is making a strategic push into the country’s marine coatings market with the introduction of NIPPON CERAMO, a globally established shop primer and pre-fabrication primer designed to improve efficiency and performance across shipbuilding operations.

 

Launched through the company’s Industrial Coatings business, NIPPON CERAMO brings internationally proven coating technology to Indian shipyards as the country’s shipbuilding industry faces growing demands for higher productivity, improved quality and compliance with global standards.

 

Already recognised across international shipyards, NIPPON CERAMO is a high-performance, low-zinc inorganic shop primer that protects steel during fabrication while facilitating welding, cutting and other critical manufacturing processes.

NIPPON CERAMO is engineered to address some of the key challenges faced by marine fabricators, including coating damage during welding and cutting, zinc-fume generation and the need for additional surface preparation.

 

The product is targeted at commercial shipyards, ship repair facilities, offshore engineering contractors, marine fabricators and steel-processing facilities looking to improve operational productivity and coating performance.
