INNOVA will benefit from enhanced research, development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales capabilities

Japan's Nissan Chemical Corporation has made a strategic investment in Brazilian biologicals leader INNOVA Agrotecnologia, aiming to accelerate the company’s growth in the country’s rapidly expanding biologicals market.

IHARABRAS Indústrias Químicas, where Julio Borges serves as president, remains INNOVA’s largest shareholder.

INNOVA, which owns its own manufacturing facilities and sales network, will benefit from enhanced research, development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales capabilities through this partnership with Nissan Chemical.

The collaboration is part of Nissan’s long-term vision outlined in its “Atelier2050” plan, which emphasizes microbial control technology as a pathway to advance life sciences, environmental, and energy businesses alongside microbial agrochemicals.

“We expect this strategic partnership will establish an organic and robust system of biologicals business in Brazil by combining the strengths of each company,” said Yuji Sato, Head of Agricultural Chemicals Division at Nissan Chemical Corporation.

“Brazil's biologicals business is experiencing dramatically rapid growth. We will consistently promote product development, manufacturing, and sales that meet the needs of agricultural producers.”

Clayton Veiga, Executive Director at IHARA, added: “Brazilian agriculture is evolving rapidly. Integrated solutions that combine chemistry, biotechnology, nutrition, and sustainable practices boost Brazil as a leading country in food production."

"The partnership between IHARA and Nissan reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative technologies and high-performance to the market. Our purpose is to support Brazilian farmers so they can produce more with greater efficiency, safety, and sustainability.”

Through the collaboration, Nissan and IHARA aim to expand INNOVA’s biologicals business quickly, strengthening their ability to deliver sustainable agricultural solutions across Brazil.
