The company will challenge Mosaic's petition.

OCP Group said that it intends to vigorously challenge the flawed allegations that have been brought forward related to a recent phosphate-based fertilizers dumping petition filed in the U.S. Since receiving this petition, OCP has cooperated with the American authorities, who are evaluating whether the petition even warrants investigation, stated the company.

The company operates in full compliance with all relevant laws and treaty obligations in relation to all sales of its products in the U.S. market. In line with its mission and core values, the Group remains committed to all its customers and to continuing to serve the needs of farmers in the U.S. as well as globally, OCP said in its press statement.

On June 26, 2020, The Mosaic Company filed a petition with the US Department of Commerce (DOC) and the US International Trade Commission (ITC), concerning allegations of unfair competition in the United States from foreign producers of phosphate-based fertilizers. Mosaic took this action because large volumes of unfairly subsidized imports from Morocco and Russia were causing significant harm to Mosaic's operations.
