PPG Industries has expanded its industrial coatings lineup with the launch of a new high-performance finish aimed at demanding heavy-duty applications across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

 

The company’s new PPG SELEMIX 7-140 2K acrylic high-solids topcoat is designed to deliver tougher, longer-lasting protection for equipment operating in harsh environments such as agriculture, construction, and industrial manufacturing.

 

Built for durability and efficiency, the coating combines a high-gloss finish with strong resistance to wear, chemicals, UV exposure, salt spray, and humidity—positioning it as a solution for manufacturers prioritizing long-term asset protection and visual quality.

The new system is engineered for flexibility on production lines, compatible with conventional spray guns, air-assisted airless systems, and electrostatic spray equipment. It also integrates with PPG Selemix epoxy and polyurethane primers to form a complete industrial coating system.

 

PPG highlights several key performance benefits, including strong resistance to environmental stressors, smooth application with reduced sagging, and a high-quality finish suited for industrial-grade machinery and equipment.

 

The coating is certified up to C5M performance under ISO 12944-6 when used as part of a full Selemix system, indicating high corrosion protection in extreme industrial environments.
