PPG has launched an enhanced formulation of its PPG SELEMIX 7-159 Direct Pro 2K acrylic topcoat, strengthening corrosion protection and application performance for light industrial customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

 

The updated direct-to-metal coating has been developed to meet rising corrosion protection requirements in the industrial coatings market. It now achieves C5M certification under ISO 12944-6, a widely recognized standard that validates coating durability and resistance in highly corrosive industrial environments.

 

In addition to delivering greater corrosion resistance, the new formulation offers improved application flexibility. Optimized for air-assisted airless spray systems, the coating is designed to improve efficiency while enhanced sag resistance gives applicators better control during application. The product also delivers a consistent, high-gloss finish across a wide range of application skill levels.

 

Engineered for steel, galvanized substrates and aluminum, the high-solids coating provides stable, controlled application and efficient processing while offering a low-VOC, direct-to-metal solution.
