Privi sets up AI centre in Mahad College to equip students for future jobs

The new centre is aimed at closing the gap between classroom education and the fast-changing demands of the digital economy


Privi Speciality Chemicals has established an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre at Hirwal Education Trust's College of Science, Computer Science and Information Technology in Mahad, giving students access to technology-enabled learning and hands-on exposure to emerging technologies.
 
The new centre is aimed at closing the gap between classroom education and the fast-changing demands of the digital economy by helping students develop practical AI skills and gain exposure to technologies expected to reshape industries and careers.
 
The facility includes AI-enabled computer systems, internet-connected smart panels, specialised classroom infrastructure, power backup systems and technology-enabled learning resources designed to support experiential learning, innovation and digital skill development.

Since its launch, the AI Centre has hosted workshops, lectures and training programmes focused on the practical applications of artificial intelligence. The sessions have included AI workshops conducted by Chetan Taksale, Director, Softech Solutions and Services, Pune, as well as expert sessions by Pushkar Adhikari, Co-Founder of Apex Academy, Mumbai, Harshita Gaikwad, AI Teacher, and Masooda Antule, AI Trainer.
 
The programmes are designed to move beyond theoretical learning, helping students understand how AI is being applied in the real world while encouraging innovation-led thinking and experimentation.
