Jamnagar, once the largest hydrocarbon energy exporter, will become India’s largest exporter of green energy and materials from Gujarat in the coming years

Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman & Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), announced a significant increase in investment during the Vibrant Regional Conferences for the Kutch & Saurashtra region in Rajkot. He stated, "In the last five years, we have invested over Rs. 3.5 lakh crore and I am pleased to announce that we will double this to Rs. 7 lakh crore over the next five years, creating exponential employment, livelihoods, and greater sampatti for every Gujarati and every Indian."

"At Jamnagar, we are building the world’s largest integrated clean energy ecosystem—spanning solar, battery energy storage, green hydrogen, green fertilisers, sustainable aviation fuel and maritime fuels, and advanced materials. These are not only industries of the future; they are the foundations of India’s prosperous tomorrow. Jamnagar, once the largest hydrocarbon energy exporter, will in the coming years become India’s largest exporter of green energy and materials from Gujarat," commented Ambani.

Speaking on transforming Kutch into a global clean energy hub, Ambani said, "Our multi-gigawatt, utility-scale solar project—among the world’s largest—will deliver round-the-clock clean power through advanced storage and modern grid integration, powering India’s green future and reinforcing Gujarat’s leadership in renewables."

Commenting on making Gujarat India’s Artificial Intelligence pioneer, Ambani said, "In Jamnagar, we are building India’s largest Artificial Intelligence-ready data centre with a single goal: Affordable AI for every Indian. Jio will launch a people-first intelligence platform—built in India, for India and the world—enabling every citizen, starting from Gujarat to access AI services in their own language, on their own devices, every day to make them more efficient and productive."

The Reliance Foundation stands ready to serve the Prime Minister’s vision of bringing the 2036 Olympics to Ahmedabad.

Ambani said, "As a concrete step, Reliance will partner with the Gujarat Government to manage the Veer Savarkar Multi-Sports Complex in Naranpura, a hub for hosting national and international events and training India’s future champions."

RIL is also establishing a world-class hospital in Jamnagar in Saurashtra and expanding our educational facilities multi-fold, added Ambani.

RIL recently announced of expanding its presence in advanced materials and new energy with a new facility in Gujarat. This upcoming facility will focus on manufacturing advanced composite and engineered plastics products critical to enabling our all new energy verticals like Hydrogen, Solar, CBG and Wind.
