Sika CEO Thomas Hasler said the company sees significant room to expand its position in the adhesives and sealants market

Sika is putting adhesives and sealants at the heart of its growth strategy as the Swiss chemicals group hosts investors at its largest adhesive factory in Duedingen.

At the Investor Day, Sika’s management team is laying out its plans to drive group-wide growth, with a particular focus on adhesive systems, innovation and stronger market penetration. The company is also updating investors on its Fast Forward program, the acquisition of Akkim and its go-to-market strategy.

Sika CEO Thomas Hasler said the company sees significant room to expand its position in the adhesives and sealants market.

“Adhesives and sealants represent a key competitive strength for Sika and offer attractive opportunities for further growth. We are ideally positioned to gain additional market share in this sector. Moreover, the acquisition of Akkim has created a highly scalable platform that allows us to further accelerate our growth trajectory and double Akkim’s sales within five years. At the same time, our strong innovation pipeline enables us to deliver sustainable, high-performance solutions that create significant value for our customers.”

The investor event is giving particular attention to Adhesive Systems, one of Sika’s five core technologies and a technology deployed across most of its eight Target Markets.

Sika is positioning adhesives as a major growth engine not only in construction but also across industrial applications, where demand for high-performance bonding and sealing solutions continues to create expansion opportunities.

The company is also using the event to showcase progress under its Fast Forward transformation program. Sika said the initiative remains on track to deliver CHF 80 million in benefits in 2026, with a targeted CHF 150 million to CHF 200 million profit uplift through 2028.

Group Management is outlining how digital transformation, innovation, channel penetration and go-to-market initiatives are being used to accelerate profitable market-share growth.

The event also puts Sika’s manufacturing capabilities on display. An exclusive tour of the Duedingen site gives investors a closer look at the production of high-performance adhesives and sealants, highlighting advanced manufacturing technology, operational efficiency and the company’s focus on innovation.

With adhesives increasingly central to both construction and industrial applications, Sika is using the Investor Day to underline its strategy: invest selectively in growth markets, expand through acquisitions and innovation, and turn its adhesive technology portfolio into a larger engine of sustainable growth.
