Spectrum Ethers Ltd has sought environmental clearance for its proposed plant of agro chemicals and intermediates at Dahej Industrial Area in Gujarat’s Bharuch district.



Spectrum Ethers Ltd has sought environmental clearance for its proposed plant of agro chemicals and intermediates at Dahej Industrial Area in Gujarat’s Bharuch district.

In its presentation to the Ministry of Environment and Forests, the company said that the total estimated project cost is Rs 80.64 crore.

The focus of the company is development of agriculture and better products through use of quality pesticides so essential for growth and prosperity of agriculture economy.

The company said it will maintain quality of its products, safety and housekeeping of the site.

“This project will generate additional employment and secondary business opportunities in the region. The region will cater to the domestic market and thereby reducing dependencies on import of agrochemicals,” it said.

The total land area is 41494 sq m of which 12000 sq m is for greenbelt development. Greenery will be developed in and around the site by planting various types of trees.

The company said it will install four plants and the capacity of each plant will be 250 MTPM.

According to Spectrum, employment would be as per prevailing norms of the state government for skilled and trained people for the proposed plant.

“The company has sufficient skilled manpower for the project and our technical, administrative and other staffs are sufficient to take care of the proposed plant. The total permanent employees will be approximately 50,” it said.
