The US$ 21.16 million cash deal expands Tata Chemicals' footprint in the domestic US market without requiring additional capital expenditure on manufacturing plants
Tata Chemicals Limited (TCL) has announced that its wholly-owned US subsidiary, Tata Chemicals North America Inc. (TCNA), emerged as the winning bidder to acquire North American soda ash customer contracts from the bankrupt Searles Valley Minerals Inc. (SVM). The contract is for more than 500,000 metric tonnes of domestic soda ash demand.
Approved by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, the US$ 21.16 million cash deal expands Tata Chemicals' footprint in the domestic US market without requiring additional capital expenditure on manufacturing plants. The transaction is expected to improve demand visibility, support customer retention, and drive sustainable value creation.
