Vipul Organics has commenced commercial production at its new greenfield manufacturing facility in Sayakha, Gujarat, marking a key step in the specialty chemicals company's expansion and footprint-rationalisation strategy.

The company marked the transition with a formal Muhurat ceremony, moving the facility from construction into commercial operations. As part of the shift, Vipul Organics is consolidating its pigment manufacturing operations from Tarapur, Maharashtra, at the new Sayakha hub.

The facility has been designed to support more than 3,600 MT of annual pigment production, giving the company significant capacity headroom as demand grows. Initial production will begin at approximately 1,800 MT of pigments.

Spread across 24,633.11 square metres, the facility sits on an industrial plot acquired from the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) within Gujarat's Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR).

Its strategic location is a key advantage. Positioned on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, close to the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor and adjacent to Dahej Port, the facility is designed to strengthen Vipul Organics' access to both domestic and international markets.

Beyond pigments, Sayakha is being developed as a consolidated manufacturing base for the company. The site also houses membrane manufacturing operations of Vipul Organics' unit, AdiMem Technologies, which began commercial sales of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes earlier this year.

“The commencement of production at Sayakha is a defining milestone in Vipul Organics' growth journey. This facility has been built to expand our pigment powder capacity, bring our membrane and solvent dyes capabilities under one roof, and give us a strategically located, port-adjacent base from which to serve our customers within the country and across the world.

"As production stabilises over the coming quarters, we expect Sayakha to be a meaningful contributor to both our capacity and our revenue diversification, and we remain confident of sustaining the growth momentum we built through FY 2025-26 as we scale up this facility through FY 2026-27,” said Vipul P. Shah, Managing Director, Vipul Organics Limited.

The commissioning comes as Vipul Organics accelerates efforts to diversify its product portfolio and expand its global footprint. The company recently entered an exclusive European distribution partnership with Omya Group for its pigment ranges and also commercially launched its indigenously developed membrane solutions through AdiMem Technologies.

With Sayakha now operational, Vipul Organics has positioned itself to scale its pigments, dyes and membrane businesses from an integrated manufacturing base on India's western coast—creating additional capacity while improving its ability to serve domestic and export markets.
