The expansion delivers state‑of‑the‑art mobile feed evaluation to a growing market of dairy and beef producers

Eurofins Agro and trinamiX GmbH are taking mobile forage analysis to the next level, expanding their solution to new European regions and adding powerful analytical capabilities aimed at helping dairy and cattle farmers maximize feed efficiency, animal health, and farm profitability.

The Eurofins mobile forage analysis applications, running on the trinamiX PAL Two spectrometer, are now available in France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain, joining a network already licensed in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland.

The expansion delivers state‑of‑the‑art mobile feed evaluation to a growing market of dairy and beef producers, enabling “faster, data‑driven decisions directly on the farm.”

From March 2026, energy values will be consistently available across all Eurofins forage applications running on trinamiX PAL Two. For dairy farmers, balanced energy intake is closely linked to milk yield, milk quality, fertility, and overall herd health. For cattle producers, energy content drives growth rates, feed efficiency, carcass quality, and production costs.

With standardized energy data, farmers can “directly compare feedstuffs by energy per kilogram, optimise ration balancing to avoid over‑ or under‑feeding, and improve cost efficiency — all while promoting animal welfare and more sustainable use of resources.”

The forage portfolio has also grown with the addition of alfalfa/lucerne silage, a high‑performance feed for dairy herds valued for its protein, energy levels, and digestible fibres. Alfalfa also reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers and supports soil regeneration.

The full set of forage applications now includes fresh maize, maize silage, corn cob mix (CCM), haylage, grass & clover silage, fresh grass & clover, hay, and alfalfa/lucerne silage.

By combining trinamiX’s mobile near‑infrared (NIR) spectroscopy technology with Eurofins’ calibration expertise, farmers can now gain “lab‑grade insights directly in the field, at the silage clamp, or in the feed alley.” The solution accelerates decision-making and allows on-site adjustments to feed rations and harvesting strategies, giving farmers unprecedented precision and control.
