The move is part of the company’s ambitious $2 billion investment in plants, digital infrastructure, and talent over the next five years
Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest industrial automation company, is expanding its U.S. footprint with plans for a new greenfield manufacturing site in Southeastern Wisconsin. The move is part of the company’s ambitious $2 billion investment in plants, digital infrastructure, and talent over the next five years.
The facility could become Rockwell’s largest manufacturing campus worldwide, offering more than 1 million square feet of production and warehouse space. Equipped with advanced robotics, automation, and digital systems, the site will highlight the company’s cutting-edge capabilities in industrial operations.
Designing a new facility presents the opportunity to create the future of industrial operations, with highly orchestrated production,” said Blake Moret, chairman and CEO of Rockwell Automation. “This expansion supports growth, performance, and the deployment of the latest Rockwell technologies and solutions.”
The site will integrate AI, analytics, and advanced production technologies to improve efficiency and precision while providing employees with high-tech tools and training, said Bob Buttermore, Rockwell’s Chief Supply Chain Officer. “This investment reflects our confidence in the teams that deliver excellence every day,” he added.
Construction and site planning are already underway in collaboration with local and state officials, with more details expected as the project progresses. Strategically located near Rockwell’s Milwaukee headquarters, the new campus reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to U.S. manufacturing and its skilled workforce.
With this expansion, Rockwell Automation signals a major step forward in modernizing industrial operations, scaling capacity, and solidifying its leadership in global automation technology.
