Under the agreement, TCS becomes a Global Premier Partner in the Claude Partner Network

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered a global strategic partnership with Anthropic, the AI company behind Claude, in a move aimed at accelerating enterprise-wide adoption of advanced artificial intelligence across regulated and high-complexity industries.

Under the agreement, TCS becomes a Global Premier Partner in the Claude Partner Network, positioning the IT services giant to embed Anthropic’s Claude models deep inside enterprise operations.

The partnership is designed to push AI beyond pilots and proof-of-concepts into full-scale production environments—particularly in sectors where compliance, auditability, and accuracy have historically slowed adoption.

“In regulated industries, most AI initiatives stall at the pilot stage, where the requirements for accuracy, auditability and oversight are far more stringent, and the consequences of error significantly higher. This partnership is designed to overcome those barriers,” the announcement stated.

TCS will establish a dedicated business unit focused on Claude-based solutions, early model access, and industry-specific AI offerings. The company also plans to equip 50,000 associates with Claude through enterprise-wide licensing, embedding the model across engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales functions.

As part of the collaboration, both companies will jointly develop and go to market with AI solutions tailored for regulated industries including financial services, healthcare, life sciences, aviation, telecom, and public services.

“Enterprise AI value comes from understanding business context, orchestrating complex systems, and applying deep AI engineering talent. By combining Claude with our industry expertise, engineering rigor, and large-scale transformation capabilities, we will help customers move faster to production, especially in industries where trust, resilience, and regulatory discipline are critical.

"This partnership reflects TCS’ broader strategy to help clients become perpetually adaptive enterprises by turning frontier AI into transformation at enterprise scale," K Krithivasan, CEO and MD, TCS, said.

Anthropic emphasized its focus on safe and reliable deployment of AI in mission-critical environments.

“We built Claude to be safe, trusted, and helpful, particularly in contexts where accuracy matters most. This partnership deepens our commitment to India, our second-largest market, with TCS bringing Claude to enterprises and professionals across the region and globally, including 50,000 of its employees," Dario Amodei, Co-founder and CEO, Anthropic, said.

Tata Sons also framed the alliance as part of a broader industrial shift toward AI-driven enterprise reinvention.

“This partnership reflects our shared conviction that AI will be foundational and transformative for enterprises worldwide. By combining Anthropic's capabilities with Tata Group’s scale, trusted relationships, and nation-building commitment, we will accelerate enterprise reinvention and equip India’s youth with the skills to lead in the AI era," N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, said.

The partnership will also extend into TCS’s internal platforms and subsidiaries. In the UK, Diligenta, the firm’s regulated life and pensions business serving over 22 million customers, will deploy Claude to enhance customer experience through agentic process transformation. Meanwhile, BFSI product teams will use Claude Code to improve software engineering and IT operations productivity.

TCS’s training platform, TCS iON, will integrate Claude-based learning and certification programs, aiming to build a large AI-certified workforce in India through high-volume assessments conducted across thousands of cities.

TCS will also contribute domain-specific engineering capabilities to the Claude Code ecosystem, including reusable AI skills for areas such as claims processing and lending advisory.

The partnership underscores TCS’s ambition to position itself as an AI-led global technology services leader, while giving Anthropic deeper enterprise reach through one of the world’s largest IT services firms.
