Wood has secured a new three-year contract from Equinor to provide lifecycle information (LCI) services across nearly 100 assets in Norway, strengthening data quality and operational decision-making across the energy giant’s portfolio.

 

The contract covers offshore installations, subsea sites and onshore plants. Wood will manage technical information updates, maintain LCI records and oversee data through Equinor’s System for Technical Information and Documentation (STID) platform.

 

A key part of the deal will see Wood roll out a newly developed work management system aimed at streamlining technical information management and engineering workflows.

 

The digital system is designed to improve transparency and traceability, cut manual work and reduce lead times for change requests. It will also provide a platform for future AI-enabled capabilities, helping keep critical technical information accurate, accessible and actionable throughout the lifecycle of Equinor’s assets.

The work will be delivered by around 35 Wood employees in Norway, combining existing staff with new hires and drawing on the company’s global engineering network.
