Eastman Chemical Company has strengthened its position in the energy and power infrastructure market with the acquisition of the Jarylec dielectric fluids brand and selected business assets from Arkema France.
The deal includes key trademarks, customer relationships, technical documentation and intellectual property tied to the Jarylec dielectric fluids business, a product line widely used in high-voltage transformers and critical power grid applications.
“This acquisition is a strategic move to leverage Eastman’s world-class technology platforms and enhance offerings to service the needs of the dielectric fluids market,” said Sharon Dunn, general manager, specialty fluids and energy, Eastman.
“Customers can expect quality and service under the trusted Jarylec brand, now backed by Eastman’s manufacturing expertise and global technical service network.”

Eastman said it will continue manufacturing products under the Jarylec dielectric brand at its existing facility in Marl, Germany, utilizing advanced production processes and stringent quality controls to ensure consistent performance.

With Eastman’s global manufacturing capabilities and technical support network behind the brand, customers are expected to benefit from enhanced service and long-term supply continuity.
