Novonesis has achieved its 2025 milestone of using 100% renewable electricity across all global operations, cementing its commitment to sustainable growth and climate leadership.

 

The company reached this landmark by partnering with energy providers to secure renewable power for every site worldwide, prioritizing wind and solar projects. Novonesis’ diversified renewable portfolio includes onsite solar, waste-to-biogas initiatives, renewable electricity certificates, and other innovative energy solutions.

This achievement is part of Novonesis’ broader strategy to build a resilient company while leaving a positive impact on people and the planet. Securing renewable electricity across its sites supports the company’s climate goals, including its Net Zero ambition by 2050 and plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from Scopes 1 and 2 by 65% by 2025 and 75% by 2030, compared to its 2018 baseline.
