AltEons is developing a 210 MW hybrid renewable energy portfolio in Maharashtra comprising wind, solar and battery storage
AltEons Energy has secured a strategic investment from The Sanmar Group to accelerate the development of more than 1.5 GW of round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy projects across India, targeting the rapidly growing clean power needs of corporate and industrial customers.
The investment will strengthen AltEons’ integrated renewable energy platform, which combines solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and advanced energy management technologies to deliver firm, reliable renewable power to energy-intensive businesses.
As part of its expansion, AltEons is developing a 210 MW hybrid renewable energy portfolio in Maharashtra comprising wind, solar and battery storage. The under-construction project is aimed at meeting rising demand from C&I customers in the state.
The company serves customers across manufacturing, automotive, data centres and industrial engineering, with businesses increasingly seeking long-term renewable power solutions to meet decarbonisation and ESG targets.
Beyond its existing pipeline, AltEons plans to secure an additional 800 MW of renewable energy capacity by the end of 2026, taking its development pipeline towards its broader 1.5 GW-plus RTC portfolio target.
Vijay Sankar, Chairman, The Sanmar Group, said, "AltEons has built a compelling platform focused on addressing one of the most critical challenges in energy transition, delivering reliable renewable power at scale. We believe the company's innovative approach, experienced leadership, and strong execution capabilities position it to become a significant player in India's evolving renewable energy sector. As a multinational, sustainability-focused organization, we are pleased to partner with AltEons on this exciting journey."
Srinivasan Viswanathan, Founder & CEO of AltEons Energy, said, "We are delighted to welcome The Sanmar Group as our strategic investor and partner in our mission to transform India's clean energy landscape. This investment reinforces confidence in our vision of delivering reliable RTC renewable power to C&I customers. With Sanmar's long-term partnership, we are well positioned to develop over 1.5 GW of RTC renewable energy projects and help industries accelerate their decarbonization goals."
The investment comes as India's C&I sector increasingly looks beyond conventional renewable power procurement towards firm and predictable clean energy supplies. AltEons is positioning its hybrid generation and storage model to address that requirement by combining multiple renewable sources with energy storage and digital energy management.
