Paradeep Phosphates Ltd. (PPL) has named former cricket captain Rahul Dravid as its brand ambassador to promote sustainable and innovative farming practices. The partnership aims to leverage Dravid's reputation for trust and consistency to educate farmers.
The collaboration will center on two nationwide campaigns that use cricketing analogies to explain complex agricultural concepts: Kheti Ka Game Change and NPK & Organic Fertilizers Ki Winning Team. Kheti Ka Game Changer will promote PPL's new nano fertilizers, such as Jai Kisaan Navratna Nano Shakti Nano DAP. NPK & Organic Fertilizers Ki Winning Team will focus on promoting balanced fertilization using a combination of fertilizers, with organic options playing the role of "Mitti ke Rakshak" (protectors of the soil).

The “Kheti Ka Game Changer” campaign highlights Jai Kisaan Navratna Nano Shakti Nano DAP, developed by PPL’s sister company Zuari FarmHub Ltd (ZFHL) in collaboration with TERI. Nano formulations, consisting of millions of bio-compatible nanoparticles, enable faster nutrient absorption, reduce wastage, and improve crop yield. Trials by ICAR, SAU, and KVK have shown higher nutrient efficiency and productivity. The campaign positions Nano DAP as a revolutionary innovation in Indian agriculture — a true “game changer” for farmers.

The “NPK & Organic Fertilizers Ki Winning Team” campaign uses a cricket team analogy to demonstrate the importance of balanced fertilization. It emphasizes how the right combination of Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K) strengthens soil health, roots, and overall crop resilience. Key products such as Jai Kisaan Navratna 20:20:0:13 are depicted as the team’s Captain, TSP 46 per cent P as the Star Opener, and NPK 19:19:19 as the All-Rounder. Supported by the PM PRANAM Yojana, the campaign also promotes the use of organic fertilizers as the “Mitti ke Rakshak” — protectors of the soil that enrich carbon content and preserve fertility.
