Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) has launched JAI KISAAN NAVRATNA CROPFIT, a customized fertilizer developed specifically for sugarcane cultivation in Karnataka, as the company expands its crop-specific nutrition portfolio.

 

The new fertilizer combines major, secondary and micronutrients in a single basal application, targeting the high and sustained nutritional demands of sugarcane while seeking to improve nutrient use efficiency, crop growth and farm economics.

 

JAI KISAAN NAVRATNA CROPFIT contains NPK 14:14:13, along with 4% sulphur, 1% zinc, 0.1% boron and 1% iron. PPL said the precision-blended formulation is designed to address nutritional deficiencies that can arise from imbalanced fertilizer use, including excessive nitrogen application and inadequate secondary and micronutrient supplementation.

 

Sugarcane is a long-duration, nutrient-intensive crop, making balanced nutrition particularly important during its early growth stages. PPL said the new formulation is designed to support uniform crop establishment, efficient nutrient availability and stronger crop development.

 

The company said field evaluations indicate that balanced crop nutrition can improve crop vigour, nutrient use efficiency and overall crop performance under suitable agronomic conditions. It also said the approach has the potential to contribute to higher cane yields, improved sugar recovery and better economic returns.

 

The fertilizer is FCO-approved and recommended for sugarcane cultivation across major growing districts in Karnataka, including Bagalkot, Belagavi, Ballari, Bidar, Chamarajanagara, Gadag, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Mandya, Mysuru, Vijayapura, Yadgir and Vijayanagara.
