Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC), one of India's pioneering agri-nutrient and fertiliser companies, has reported revenue from operations of Rs 1,847.98 crore and profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 88.35 crore for the half year ended September 30, 2026.

Announcing its second-quarter and half-year results on November 4, the company reported a 15.6% increase in revenue from operations compared with Rs 1,597.92 crore in the corresponding period last year.

However, profitability came under pressure, with PBT declining 48.1% from Rs 170.40 crore in the first half of FY2025-26.

The decline in other income, which fell sharply to Rs 5.05 crore from Rs 43.05 crore in the year-ago period, also weighed on the company's overall financial performance.

For the second quarter of FY2026-27, SPIC recorded income of Rs 1,002.74 crore and profit of Rs 45.63 crore, against income of Rs 842.82 crore and profit of Rs 81.22 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The company's latest performance reflects strong growth in operating revenue, even as its reported profit declined significantly.

Meanwhile, SPIC has distributed a dividend of 20% on its equity shares of Rs 10 each, following shareholder approval at the company's Annual General Meeting held on September 28, 2026.

The dividend, aggregating to Rs 40.73 crore, was paid to shareholders on October 14, 2026, subject to deduction of applicable taxes.
