The facility, spread across 6.77 acres at Atchutapuram, will produce liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid argon
Andhra Pradesh Industries and Commerce Minister TG Bharath has inaugurated INOX Air Products Limited’s (INOXAP) first 200-tonnes-per-day (TPD) liquid air separation plant in the State, marking a fresh push to strengthen supplies of critical industrial and medical gases.
The facility, spread across 6.77 acres at Atchutapuram, will produce liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid argon to serve a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, steel and metals, ferro alloys, chemicals, glass and engineering.
A key capability of the new plant is its potential to produce 5N ultra-high-purity liquid nitrogen, a specialised grade designed to support advanced manufacturing applications in the solar and semiconductor sectors.
The facility is expected to strengthen the regional supply chain for essential gases, support healthcare infrastructure through medical oxygen availability and cater to the requirements of both established industries and emerging technology-driven sectors. It also aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s broader industrial development ambitions under the Swarna Andhra 2047 vision.
The inauguration was attended by Yelamanchili MLA Sundarapu Vijay Kumar, Andhra Pradesh Road Development Corporation chairman Pragada Nageswara Rao and INOXAP managing director Siddharth Jain.
Speaking on the occasion, Siddharth Jain, Managing Director, INOX Air Products Limited, said, “This facility reflects our confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s industrial potential and our commitment to building critical gas infrastructure ahead of demand. Industrial gases are a vital component of modern manufacturing, while medical oxygen is a critical component of healthcare delivery.
"Our first 200 TPD ASU in the State of Andhra Pradesh, at Atchutapuram, aims to strengthen the availability of both, supporting established industries and emerging applications in solar and semiconductors. It also aims to create employment opportunities across its operations and associated services. We thank the Government of Andhra Pradesh for its support as we deepen our presence in the State and contribute to its progress and prosperity.”
The new plant adds to INOXAP’s manufacturing network and is intended to support growing demand for industrial gases as Andhra Pradesh expands its manufacturing base.
