Aims to Strengthen India’s semiconductor and solar ecosystem with indigenised 6N Ultra-High Purity Liquid Oxygen supply

INOX Air Products (INOXAP), a major player in India’s industrial and medical gas sector, has commissioned an Ultra-High Purity Liquid Oxygen plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This new facility is a strategic boost for India’s high-tech manufacturing, providing essential resources for high-growth industries like semiconductors and solar cell production

The facility produces 6N grade (99.9999% purity) Ultra-High Purity Liquid Oxygen, with a capacity of 17 TPD (500 Nm³/hr), catering to the stringent requirements of semiconductor and solar manufacturing industries. Strategically located in Hosur, one of the industrial hubs in South India, the plant is well-positioned to serve emerging high-technology clusters with reliability and speed.

Speaking on the occasion, Siddharth Jain, Managing Director, INOXAP, said, “At INOXAP, we believe that true progress for India lies in building capabilities within the country that power its future industries. The commissioning of this Ultra-High Purity Liquid Oxygen facility is a step towards that vision. It aims to significantly reduce dependence on imports and strengthen the foundation of India’s semiconductor and solar manufacturing ecosystem. As the nation advances towards technological self-reliance, we remain committed to investing ahead of the demand curve, ensuring that critical enablers are available within India, for India.”

This facility stands out for its ability to produce 6N grade industrial liquid oxygen, a purity level essential for precision-driven applications in electronics and photovoltaic manufacturing. Additionally, it would enable these manufacturers to significantly reduce import lead times, minimise global supply disruptions and enhance production continuity.
