Isgec Heavy Engineering Ltd. (ISGEC) has won an order for setting up a 11.5 MW waste to energy plant for Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) to be set up in Bidadi, an industrial hub located 32 km from Bengaluru. Total order value is Rs. 260 crore and projected completion schedule is around two years.

 

The plant will have a capacity to use 600 tonnes of segregated waste on a daily basis to produce power. 

 

The plant will have indigenous products and equipment and scope of the project includes Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, Civil Works, Construction, Commissioning and Performance Guarantee Testing.

 

Isgec, with its extensive expertise in manufacturing and setting up of turnkey Projects, will be setting up this plant along with their consortium partner Hitachi Zosen India Pvt Ltd., a company having vast experience of setting up of over 900 WTE plants across the world. This will be the second waste to energy plant that this consortium will be setting up, the first one running successfully in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh for the last four years.
