Messer, the largest private industrial gases company, announced the signing of a significant long-term purchase agreement (SPA) with QatarEnergy for the annual supply of approximately three million cubic meters of high-purity helium.
The product will be sourced from QatarEnergy's state-of-the-art facilities in Ras Laffan and delivered to Messer customers worldwide.
This milestone agreement marks Messer's first direct long-term partnership with QatarEnergy, one of the world's largest helium producers. By diversifying sources and strengthening supply chains, Messer aims to ensure its customers benefit from improved reliability and long-term security of supply for the noble gas.
At the signing ceremony, attended by senior executives from both companies, His Excellency Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, President and CEO of QatarEnergy, said: "Messer is a leading global supplier of helium with an excellent reputation and diverse resources. We are very pleased to conclude our first direct supply agreement with Messer and continue to offer high-purity helium through reliable partners worldwide."
