The company secured two BSB Innovation Awards alongside a SpecialChem Supplier Award
Chemicals giant BASF’s Personal Care business has walked away from in-cosmetics Global with a triple win, collecting three major industry honors that underscore its growing influence in cosmetic innovation and raw material development.
The company secured two BSB Innovation Awards alongside a SpecialChem Supplier Award, reinforcing its position as a leading force in high-performance, science-driven beauty ingredients.
“These awards reflect our ambition to combine scientific excellence with responsible innovation,” said Lucilene Veira Nunes, Business Management BASF Beauty Care Solutions. “Receiving multiple recognitions for our active ingredients underscores the strength of our innovation and our ability to translate science into high-impact solutions.”
The SpecialChem recognition marks the second consecutive year BASF has been named Most Popular Supplier, a signal of strong industry demand and consistent engagement from formulators worldwide.
At the center of BASF’s BSB success is NeoHelix Regenerate, which took first place in the Cosmetics/Raw Materials category. The ingredient was praised for its precision-peptide approach to collagen renewal, drawing on biomedical research to support the skin’s natural repair processes.
In-vivo studies showed measurable results, including visible improvements in wrinkle appearance and skin tonicity, along with a 41% reduction in damaged collagen—positioning it as a next-generation solution in skin rejuvenation.
Also honored was Aloversil, which placed second in the Natural Products/Raw Materials category. The ingredient uses natural peptides to support the appearance of fuller, denser hair, particularly targeting visible signs of thinning in men.
It is designed to support scalp health, cellular communication, and micro-vascularization, and is derived from upcycled sea buckthorn seedcake. The ingredient is 100 percent natural origin according to ISO 16128 standards.
Presented by the German consulting agency BSB, the awards recognize innovation across cosmetics products, raw materials, applied concepts, and industrial processes.
Together with the SpecialChem Supplier Award—based on ingredient searches and platform engagement—the honors highlight BASF’s strong market presence and continued relevance to global cosmetic formulators.
