BCL Industries Limited has resumed operations at its 200 KLPD ethanol production facility in Bathinda, Punjab, after a temporary shutdown triggered by a fire incident in June.

 

The company, in a corporate update dated August 26, 2026, confirmed that the disruption at the facility has been fully resolved and that operations have restarted following receipt of all required statutory clearances and approvals.

 

The shutdown followed a June 19, 2026 fire involving an ethanol tanker, which forced the facility to halt operations.

 

With the necessary regulatory approvals now in place, BCL Industries has restarted the plant and begun the process of bringing the facility back to full-scale operations.

 

The company expects commercial production to begin within approximately 3 to 4 days, as the manufacturing process involves multiple stages that need to be completed before the facility reaches full production.

 

The restart marks a key operational milestone for BCL Industries, bringing its Bathinda ethanol unit back online after the June incident.
