GHCL announces expansion projects
GHCL Limited has announced the capital Budget of approx. Rs. 224 crore for the financial year 2024-25 including Bromine project of Rs. 117 crore. The board also approved greenfield project for soda ash annual production capacity of 5.5 million ton in Kutch Gujarat for Rs. 4,000 crore.
Fire incident at VS Plant of Aksharchem India
A fire broke out on 2nd May, 2024 at around 04:30 PM in the VS Plant of Aksharchem (India) Limited located at Village: Indrad, Chhatral-Kadi Road, Mahesana. Due to fire incident, production operation of the said plant disrupted. However, there were no human injuries or casualties reported. The company is in the process of ascertaining the cause of the fire and the actual loss caused by it. Aksharchem (India) has adequate insurance coverage and has informed the insurance company about such incident.
